KöR whitening is an in-office whitening system using refrigerated dual-activated, Tri-Barrel™ Hydremide® peroxide gel. Before your in-office treatment, Dr. Nishime will have custom-whitening trays created for you that will allow you to continue whitening your teeth at home. Your in-office treatment involves our Honolulu cosmetic dentist applying the gel to your teeth after protecting your soft tissues with plastic barriers. Your dentist will let the gel sit on your teeth for as long as it takes to achieve your whitening goals before thoroughly rinsing your mouth.
To use your at-home whitening trays simply clean your teeth, express a small line of gel to the bottom of the trays, and press the trays onto the arches of your teeth. Wear them for the prescribed time.
While wearing your trays, you can move around and do other things, but be sure not to eat or drink anything as this can interfere with the whitening process. Remove the trays and rinse your teeth to reveal a brighter smile. You can then rinse your trays and safely store them for later use.
